ArtGlassCenter is focusing on Art- and designglass and was founded 2006.

Ilse Lindqvist has worked with glass in about 30 years, first using other techniques. Her interest was deepening, and year 2000 she finished her studies at the Wetterhoff glassline at Hämeen ammatti-instituutti and founded her own glasstudio in Nuutajärvi 2001. As member and chair in Nuutajärven Lasitaitajat ry Ilse started to blow her glass in the bigger hotshop of the association. Since ArtGlassCenter was founded Yrsa Lindqvist, who has a background in graphical design, has taken part in the design of the products and also in the work in the hotshop.

To work together gives Ilse, who earlier mostly blown her glass alone, the opportunity to make more advanced and demanding pieces. Yrsa, on the other side, has got a new way to express herself thru this demanding and fascinating material. “The collective goal is that the work shall be demanding and satisfying and other design unique, and something which we both can stand behind”.
